Woman Takes Plates of Food to Park, Left in Tears After Meeting Crying Mother: ‘I Know God is Real’

Rushing around all the time, we are left with little hope that the world would eventually become a better place for us all, but sometimes, some people ad even the smallest acts of good will touch our hearts and restore our faith.

Kim Colvin, an ordinary woman from Birmingham, Alabama, made a huge change with a small step.

One day, he decided to stay at home and cook, since she was craving for a delicious, home-cooked meal, which included pot roast, vegetables, mac and cheese, and cornbread.

However, she ended up cooking much more than she needed. After her sons grew up and left the home, she simply didn’t know the right amount of food she needs to cook.

However, she decided to share the leftover food with the homeless in the community, so she warmed it up, and went to the nearby park, just before sunset.

She had prepared 11 plates of warm and tasty food, and when she arrived in the park, she gave one plate away to a man.

Then, she saw a mother with three children under a gazebo, tears running down her face while praying to God to help her, as she had nowhere to go and no money to feed her kids.

Kim approached them and was overwhelmed by the gratitude of the mother for her prayers being answered. She recorded a video a few minutes afterward, thanking God for putting her in the right place at the right time.

Tearful, she says that this just showed her that God is real, allowing her to share and help this family in a simple way. All the greatest thinkers in history have emphasized that happiness is found in helping others.

There is an old Chinese saying that goes:

“If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”
