The outrage toward the meat industry is a growing issue nowadays all around the world.
Namely, its flaws have been revealed in numerous documentaries and books and have triggered a massive dissatisfaction among people.
So much so, that there are even great attempts to protect the food industry by law from the prying eye of the public.
The video below is a short segment from a documentary called “Samsara”, which is an artistic examination of the production of modern food. It will definitely leave you speechless, and it will provide essential information on pork, poultry, and cattle facilities, as well as a grocery store, followed by a view of the conditions in a fast food restaurant. It ends in a doctor’s office.
Notice that this clip shows no pigs or other animals exposed to violence, or activists that are struggling against it. Also, this video clip is not only about the flaws of the industry of meat production, and filmmakers state that there was no agenda.
The producer of the documentary, Mark Magidson, claims that it is more an emotional than an intellectual experience. He also claims that they did not intend to say a thing by filming it.
The website of the film states that its name, Samsara, means “the ever turning wheel of life” in Sanskrit, and thus, the goal of “Samsara” was to present “the point of departure for the filmmakers as they search for the elusive current of interconnection that runs through our lives.”
Before you watch it, it is important to tell you that this documentary was filmed over 5 years, in 25 different countries. The aim is to show “how our life cycle mirrors the rhythm of the planet.”
