This Quarantined Guy Sends His Dog On A Mission To Buy Cheetos And He Delivers

Every year, the start of the spring is the time when we enjoy the weather outdoors, catching as much sunshine as possible, breathing the fresh breeze, and marveling at the awakening nature.

Unfortunately, this is not the case this year. As we are advised to stay home as the best preventive against the coronavirus, many people were forced to come up with some pretty innovative ways to continue their everyday life as normally as possible.

Yet, it is not always easy to find a way to satisfy certain little pleasures, like the craving for a bag of “Cheetos”!

But this Mexican guy has found a solution!

A guy found a great way to get his bag of Cheetos from the nearest store

In Mexico, the current lockdown measures leave only food shops and restaurants for delivery open, while all schools and non-essential stores do not work.

Antonio Munoz was not willing to forget about his snacks, so he thought that if he couldn’t go to the store across the street himself, he would send his dog Chokis!

He explained that on the third day of self-isolation, he really wanted his bag of Cheetos.

Antonio Munoz sent his chihuahua to the department store across the street, with a note that gives all the instructions, and $20 on her collar

And so he did. He sent his dog to the nearest store with a note:

“Hello, Mr. Shopkeeper. Please sell my dog some Cheetos, the orange kind, not the red ones, they’re too hot. She has $20 attached to her collar. WARNING: She will bite if not treated right. Your front neighbor.”

She completed the task, even though she looked confused at the beginning

Munos explained that Chokis delivered the Cheetos successfully, and repeated the same two more times, but for different potato chip flavors’.

He snapped a few photos of Chokis and posted it on Facebook, and the post went viral!

It turns out, chihuahuas are much more capable than we thought!

Chihuahuas are very sharp, learn quickly, easily process information, and are incredibly keen to their surroundings. They are incredibly loyal, fearless, and dignified.

Munoz took some great photos of his dog going back home with the “Cheetos” bag

According to a chihuahua breeder, Patricia Johanson:

“It’s true that chihuahuas have a reputation among some for being feisty, snappy, difficult to potty train, and loud. That’s because individuals differ significantly from one another within the breed. But they can definitely be trained and there are plenty of chihuahuas in competitive sports, shows, and in movies, showing that they absolutely can be trained to advanced levels.”

She explains that these doggos have a personality similar to the one of terriers, and when training them, it is best to adopt a positive reinforcement method.

What a great idea, don’t you think?

Johanson adds that treats are the fastest way to stimulate good behavior:

„The goal is for your dog to repeat behaviors that earn their rewards, like treats or affection. Rewards can include food, special treats, praise, and petting, playing with a favorite toy and so on.”

Netizens loved the story and here is how they reacted:
