Dogs are simply adorable. They always look good- while playing in the dirt outside, while sleeping, after having a bath, while running, or cuddling. They are irresistible when asking for an extra treat, and are fluffy, cute, and warm in the evenings..
There are millions of reasons why we are all so in love with them!
But wait..have you ever seen a dog transformation? Pet photographer Grace Chon documented eight pooches before and after hours spent at the groomers!
Chon realized that people love before and after images, and thought it would be funny if she tried the concept on dogs. Moreover, she always seeks a human side in the animals she photographs.
So, she visited Healthy Spot in Los Angeles, a grooming salon whose stylists specialize in the Japanese style of grooming, and the rest is history!
According to the groomer and author Riza Wiznom, this Asian freestyle grooming is “a creative grooming method that evokes a sense of whimsy in its pursuit to make the dog look like a stuffed toy.”
The photo series, called HAIRY, became immensely popular, especially on Instagram. Be prepared- they look different than the standard we are used to seeing!
As Chon said, “these cuts are works of art.”
