Celebrating Halloween under a blue moon makes life a lot easier and adds a perfect note to the holiday.
If you love the moon, you better get ready for the next blue moon. The moon completes a full cycle in 29 days. Some months of the year have more than 29 days which means that sometimes we get to see a full moon twice in a month. In 2020, we will get a chance to admire 13 full moons. Pay attention to the number 13.
Are you excited about Halloween? Some of us have already decorated the house with pumpkins and stuff. 2020 may be the most awkward year in the history of mankind and it looks like there are a few more surprises waiting for you right behind the corner.
Halloween lovers will get two full moons in October.
Harvest Moon will pop up in the night sky on Thursday, October 1. The second full moon takes place at the end of the month, right on time for Halloween. The Hunter’s Moon is special for so many reasons. The Old Farmer’s Almanac reports we get a full moon on Halloween once every 18-19 years.
“Most Blue Moons look pale gray and white, indistinguishable from any other moon you’ve ever seen,” experts at NASA explain. “Squeezing a second full moon into a calendar month doesn’t change the physical properties of the moon itself, so the color remains the same.”
COVID-19 put everything on hold and it will also affect Halloween celebrations
We’ve had enough with the surprises 2020 threw at us. But, we’d definitely like to get an extra full moon. A full moon on Halloween? That’s crazy, amazing, and magical at the same time. It’s time for some spooky stuff.
