Cell phones expose us to health-harmful levels of radiation. Long-term exposure to radiation causes cancer, DNA damage, and poor immune system (Study). DNA damages affect normal cell growth and the production of protein. In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) stated that cell phone radiation is actually a “possible human carcinogen.”
Studies have found that cell phone radiation can alter and damage DNA in a short period of time. A six-year industry study found that exposing blood to cell phone radiation showed a 300 percent increase in the genetic damage in the form of micronuclei. The same study also suggests that this kind of radiation is more dangerous than smoking and asbestos.
Radiation affects health, triggering these conditions:
- Chronic fatigue
- Depression
- Digestive problems
- Memory problems
- Chronic stress
- Insomnia
- Heart palpitations
- Headaches/migraines
Use rosemary to protect yourself from cell phone radiation
Rosemary and rosemary essential oil are some of the many natural methods you can use to reduce radiation. Rosemary is packed with strong antioxidant properties that have proven to be efficient against radiation damage.
On February 2, 2009, the British Journal of Radiology found that fat soluble carnosol and carnosic acids found in rosemary “provide highly significant protective anti-mutagenic activity.”
Rosmarinic acid in rosemary is a photo-protector. It acts as a scavenger of free radicals and it also induces body’s endogenous defense mechanisms. They also found that rosmarinic acid delayes toxic production. Its protection factor is 3.34 times greater than other compounds examined in the micronucleus testing.
How to use rosemary:
Make some rosemary tea.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups boiled water
- 2-3 tsp rosemary, finely chopped
Preparation
Fresh:
Add chopped rosemary to a cup of boiling water. Steep for 5-10 minutes.
Drink rosemary tea every day.
The combination of rosemary essential oil and carrier oil (jojoba, coconut or avocado oil) also works great. Apply the mixture on your sole (the bottom of your foot) regularly, or every day, if possible. You can also inhale rosemary essential oil. Put a few drops of the oil on a cloth. Use an aromatherapy diffuser or vaporizer if possible.
