Nap Desk That Converts Into Bed And Lets You Sleep At Work

That short nap in the afternoon seems to never go out of style! Apparently, people love taking short naps even when at work, so the modern furniture industry has invented some pretty creative ways to enable it.

Yet, instead of falling on the desk or stealing several minutes to secretly take a nap, it would be far better to actually have a place to rest a bit in the workplace.

The trick is to have that magical piece of furniture that will allow you to nap without any discomfort, and a Greek design company Studio NL has just made this possible!

Their “nap desk” is designed to save office space, and give you the hideout you need.

The multifunctional desk won an award for “Unexpected Design” at A’Design Award & Competition, and one of its designers, Aggie Leivaditou, said:

“It was an inspiration that came from exhausting working hours of my classmates that did not have an apartment close to the university.

Named “Working Hard”, it is ideal for a team, as you and your colleagues can finally finish your work in short frames. One of you can nap in the bed compartment underneath, while the other can work alongside without disturbing you.

Its designers, Aggie and Athanasia Leivaditou explained:

“The main concept was to comment on the fact that many times our lives are ‘shrinking’ in order to fit into the confined space of our office.

Eventually, I realized that each civilization may have a very different perception of things depending on its social context. For example, this desk could be used for a siesta or for a few hours of sleep at night on those days when someone struggles to meet deadlines.”

The nap desk is both, stylish and simple, and is made of lacquered wood, metal, and white leather. What’s more, this amazing innovation also has a small electronic station for a small monitor.

Can it get any better?
