The Technique of Making Enzymes
During the process of making the enzyme very strong gases will be released, therefore, it is advisable to use plastic containers and, of course, clean water.
Ratios: you will need 1 part of brown sugar, 3 parts of kitchen waste and 10 parts of water.
Dr. Rosukon emphasizes that it is better to use brown sugar instead of white because it contains numerous minerals. If you use more vegetables than fruits, the solution will smell like pickled vegetables, but if you use more fruit peels, it will have very pleasant smell. Remember to record the date of “production”.
After three months waste enzyme will be ready for use.
In the first month, you should open the container’s closure due to a buildup of gas which is produced during fermentation. For security, it is recommended to use plastic containers. During the first month of fermentation, alcohol will be released. So when you open the container you will feel the smell of alcohol.
In the second month, you will feel sour odor, characteristic of vinegar acid. With many bindings of minerals and vitamins, ingredients will continue to decompose naturally and will eventually waste enzyme will arise.
That is why Dr. Rosukon says the brew should last 3 months.
You do not have to use the enzyme as soon as you made it. You can keep it for one, two, three or even 10 to 20 years. The longer you wait before using it, the more molecules become smaller because the mixture continues to ferment and decompose.
When the molecules are smaller they have a better ability to penetrate. We, somehow, want to force you to use waste enzymes because we hope that people can reduce the amount of the kitchen waste and at the same time to turn it into something useful, usable in everyday life.
As mentioned, the process is more than simple. If you do this enzyme at home, cockroaches, flies and mosquitoes will go around your house.
What If Did Not Ferment Properly?
Waste enzyme cannot go bad, no matter how long it stood in the bucket. It can only go bad if there are not satisfying conditions in which the enzyme preparation is done or the wrongful act while making it. In this case, how to make it right?
If your enzyme starts to stink like rotten eggs or feces, there is a way to fix it and it is very simple. You just need to add one more piece of brown sugar.
For example, quickly add 100 grams of sugar in a 1-liter bottle of water. Mix the mixture well, add it to the bucket and then close it tightly. After you have tightly closed the bucket do not open it. A month later, when you open it you will see that the solution is “recovered”. Adding citrus waste to the enzyme will provide a pleasant smell.
Worms Can be Found in the Enzymatic Solution Sometimes. How Did This Happen?
The main reason for the worms is that the lid was not tightly closed. If the cover is securely closed worms do not have a chance or appearing in the bucket.
What if There is a Mold?
Dr. Rosukon says it is only remains of the dead bacteria. Before using fermented enzyme solution those remains should be filtered, leaving only enzyme solution. The separatedresidual should be thrown in the drain in order to purify the waste system or you can dry it and used it as fertilizer.
How To Use Garbage Enzyme?
Dr Oon advises us to use it as an extremely effective tool for cleaning. She suggests that the enzyme is diluted and mixed with household cleaning products in order to increase its effectiveness.
She also recommends using this solution for cleaning vegetables, kitchen and closet areas because, as she says, it has antibacterial properties, and removes unpleasant smells and dirt.
Waste enzyme does not only help our environment but is effective in cleaning oily kitchen floors and clothes because it removes grease stains and dirt.
Also you can clean fruits and vegetables with it. Insert two tablespoons of this enzyme into the sink with water and soak the fruit and vegetables for at least 30 minutes. The enzyme will remove all the pesticides and chemicals.
The solution of waste enzymes can be used as fertilizer since it enriches the soil. If you wish to use this enzyme as fertilizer just add a spoonful of the solution to 1 liter of water and spray your plants and soil with it. This way the soil will naturally be fertilized. Rich soil will attract earthworms. With the presence of worms your plants will naturally grow and flourish.
Everything is very simple and you do not need to spend money on buying expensive chemical fertilizers.
Some of the testing of the garbage enzymes:
- Farmers and breeders V & P instead of using chemical fertilizers they used waste enzyme. They noticed that they have increased yield, fruits were tastier and there were recorded fewer cases of bacterial disease that normally infest crops
- Occurrence of plant diseases decreases
- Improved soil quality
- Heavy metals and toxins, such as those from chemical fertilizers, decompose
- Improved air quality
