Christmas Menu

-- Main dish: Juicy Roasted Turkey

Holidays and celebration season begins and so is the constant panic in the kitchen. This year you can slightly change the usual menu and instead of roast pork prepare roast turkey. But what is most important is that this recipe will change the dry, hard and tasteless turkey you have used to prepare.
This is one way to get perfectly soft and juicy turkey and show how great chef you are.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Turkey of 4-5 kg
  • 1 clove of Onion
  • 1 Leek
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Vegeta spice
  • 1 dl of cooking oil
  • 2-3 dl of dry white wine
  • 1 glass of beer
  • 2 bay leaves

Preparation:

Once you have fully defrost the turkey, grease it with vegeta spice and crushed garlic. Make little cuts on its surface using a knife and fill them with garlic. Place the turkey in an ovenproof dish with oil, laurel leaf and white wine. Let it stay for at least 4 hours (preferably leave it all night) turn it over occasionally, so it can soak up the wine evenly on each side.

Before you bake the turkey, put onions and chopped leeks inside it. Put the turkey in a well-heated oven at 250 ℃. After 15 minutes, lower the temperature to 150 ℃ and let it bake for about 4 hours.

Once the liquid has evaporated, pour the beer and bake the turkey a little more or until it browns lightly. After you take the turkey from the oven, you can take off the onions and leeks before you serve it. Baked potatoes will make a great combination with this delicious and juicy turkey.

Enjoy in this healthy and delicious Christmas menu.
