A Tiny Owl Gets Adopted By A Giant Dog, And Their Bond Is Undeniable

Ingo and Poldi enjoy every moment of the day together, and Tanja Brandt found the perfect way to document their friendship

Interspecies friendships always make us happy, and the story of Ingo and Poldi will definitely make your day. The Belgian Malinois loves spending time around his owl friend. These two have been inseparable from the very first moment they met.

Animal photographer Tanja Brandt enjoyed the photo session with the cuties. She made some cool photos, and from what we can see, these two really love each other.

Tanja’s Facebook page, Ingoundfriends, is filled with cool pics of animal friends. She has an incredible collection of photos. Her fur and feathered family is super amazing, and Tanja always uses her free time to share her artwork.

“I’ve always loved animals, since I was a baby, unlike the rest of my family,” the animal photographer said in 2015.

Tanja explained that Poldi the owl “doesn’t know how to live free.” He is more vulnerable than his brothers and sisters. The tiny owl is smaller than other owls because he hatched two days later than his other siblings. He needs constant attention and care, and that’s what brought him closer to Ingo.

The doggo loves protecting others, and he enjoyed his role. Ingo comes from a family of police dogs, and he has seen some really terrible things in his life.

“They respect each other and they can read each other,” Tanja said.

Poldi likes to snuggle up to the big pup, and stays really close all the time.

When she was a kid, Tanja used to take different species home and hide them from her parents. The brilliant photographer is impressed with the way animals interact. They can be the most loyal friends a person can ask for. There’s something amazing about their beauty, power, loyalty, and courage. We can definitely learn something from our pet friends.
