Age is just a number, and this is especially true for artists. However, the practice of a 91-old woman from one Czech village is something that amazed people all around the world.

Namely, Anežka Kašpárková (Agnes Kašpárková), tirelessly spent her days hand-painting the homes of her neighbors, and eventually transformed her little village of Louka into a truly enchanting and intricate place.

The woman worked as an agricultural worker, but after her retirement, she started decorating the houses around her village and did it for around 30 years.

She learned the skill from a late friend named Manakova, who did the same for free.

The work Agnes left behind is refined and breathtaking. By painting floral designs in ultramarine shades, she enriched the white walls of the Moravian(southern Czech) houses in her village.

She was particularly fond of painting the village chapel, and she spent 10 days every May to decorate it.

Yet the humble old lady always insisted that she was not an artist, but she simply did what she loved, decorating the world a bit.

Yet, as her age made her hobby challenging over the years, especially during the winter, she used the summer months to update her past work.

She used expensive, high-quality paint, and guaranteed that her decorations would last for two years.

Her floral wall murals inspired by traditional Moravian artwork were done by a small brush and bright blue paint.

Yet, Agnes did not plan her artworks in advance, but she made the floral themes up as she went along.

Amazing!

This amazing woman left this world on March 12, 2018, but her joyful spirit still lives in the traditional Moravian motifs.
