How Can You Detoxify Your Body?
Do not panic, because it is not just the bad news you should discuss about. Fortunately, there are a lot of cheap ways you could use to cleanse the bowels, hair, skin, lungs, liver, kidneys, and even the cells, but the first thing you should do is realize you are toxic, and then start cleansing your body.
-- Install HEPA filter or high quality air purifier. Spend your free time in nature, because trees and flowers are natural air purifiers.
-- Throw out every toxic cleaner you use, and instead start using vinegar, baking soda and citrus, especially lemon juice, and sunlight. These four natural cleaners can thoroughly clean your house and you, without causing depression, hormone disorders, cancer, and a number of diseases caused by carcinogenic and toxic substances contained in household cleaning agents, such as diethanolamine (DEA) and triethanolamine (TEA).
Sweat -- Inducing a vision quest is not the only function of the Indian sweat lodges. Even though many people use the spiritual benefits of participating in a sweat lodge, these also help you clear both body and mind of toxins, and you become more lucid. Dry-heat sauna is also a perfect solution, and it provides the same effect.
-- Fast -- You sure do not want to skip even a single meal, but spending a day without food helps your body get rid of the toxins accumulated in fatty tissues, which is extremely beneficial for you.
Different cultures and religions practice fasting for centuries, considering it as an effective way to detoxify. There are nutritional cleansing programs like the Isogenics Cleanse, which include periods of intermittent fasting (alternate periods of fasting and non-fasting).
Purge -- Ancient yogic teachings can help you cleanse the mouth, tongue, trachea, stomach and intestines by simple consumption of sea-salted water. Similar to a natural enema, Shankhaprakshalana clean out the entire intestinal tract. It is actually a Sanskrit word for a Conch, as in the shell, referring to the circular and winding shape of our internal cavity -- from the mouth to the anus.
-- Use the six Shat kriyas or Shat Karmas practiced in Hatha Yoga -- The Sanskrit words stand for six ancient cleansing techniques, and Shankhaprakshalana is one of them. Nauli, or stomach churning, is difficult for beginners, but Jala Neti, or nasal irrigation can be practised by anyone.
-- Drink more water, and make sure it is purified. Most toxins are water soluble, and drinking clean and purified water can help you eliminate them. Unpurified, municipal water is often full of hundreds of toxins.
-- Shower using first hot, then cold water. -- Kumu Hula (master teachers) practised bathing in the ocean to purificate the body, but not everyone can afford it, so bathing is an awesome purification ritual. Japan, Turkey, India, Africa and Australia have long bathing purification traditions. Bathing in hot water expands the blood vessels, and the ‘brown’ fat cells reduce fat and toxins from the body more efficiently. Bathing in cold water, as a second phase, allows multiple dips, and allow you to stay in the hot water for longer. Hot springs, untainted and natural underground water sources contain excellent nutrients, which draw the toxins out of the body, so visit some of these natural pools once in a while.Simple warming of the body boosts the lymph system and immunity. Epson salt baths are an excellent choice if you do not have natural hot springs or the Dead Sea near you (be aware of the fact that even the Dead Sea is becoming toxic).
-- Try some of the myriad natural cleansing products -- You can use any of the products available on the market, they are affordable and can sure help you cleanse your body, from the bowels to the liver.
-- Eat detoxifying foods -- Green tea, coffee enemas, and cilantro help you detoxify. Turmeric and sour sop fruit are also excellent detoxifiers. Apple Cider Vinegar, lemon juice and ginger do miracles when it comes to detoxifying your body.
-- Shaolin Clay helps you draw impurities from the skins. Shaolin Monks used special clay to draw any impurities from the body and heal rapidly from injuries received while practising martial arts. It was mixed with some herbs into a paste, and then applied to the skin, or sometimes the monks consumed it as an oral herbal treatment, mixing ground clay powders and some herbs (Dan Gui, Nan Xing, Bai Zhu, etc.). Clay baths can do miracles when it comes to eliminating heavy metals and mercury or lead.
-- Milk Thistle and Dandelion root detox the liver -- The liver is probably the most important organ when it comes to detoxification, removing toxins from the blood stream. These herbs support its function, by helping it process the toxins before they reach the bloodstream, so that they can be excreted via the feces or urine.
-- Increase the vitamin C intake -- A lot of studies proved that higher doses of vitamin C supplement can be quite effective in the detox process in cases of nuclear fallout.
-- Aboriginal Kanwa Minerals can help you detox the body. They are excreted from the bubbling pools deep in the desert areas in Australia, full of hundreds of trace minerals. You can also find it as Calcium Montmorillonite Clay, and this special ‘mud’ can absorb bacteria and reverse bone decay. This soil has not been touched for millions of years, so it is rich in important minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica and manganese, and other elements important for the body detox.
Companies like Monsanto, Bayer, Pfizer, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline and the military industrial complex still poison our world, but you can at least use some simple remedies and try to live as healthy as possible in this contaminated world.
Even if we do not live in a clean environment, you can still take care of your bodies and cleanse them of the toxins contained in fast food, medicines and others.
