Adventurous souls love overgrown rail tracks and abandoned stations. Forgotten spots have become quite a trend in the past few years. We’ve seen all those photos of people visiting these places. There’s something beautiful in all that wilderness. If you are a nature lover, you will definitely love rail biking.
Rail biking gives adrenaline junkies a chance to explore nature and enjoy the ultimate experience. There are about 50 rail-trails across the country. Disused railway tracks are now used for walking, cycling, horse riding, and snowmobiling.
The Skunk Train railroad runs across the North Coast and it was first built in 1885. There were times when visitors used it to reach the ancient redwood forest. The Skunk Train brought joy to people of all generations.

It takes three hours for you to go from San Francisco to the Redwood Forests. Nature explorers love the spot and pretty much everyone chooses to jump on the Skunk Train railbike route.
You can use the custom-made rail bikes with two seats and pedal through the forest. Of course, the bikes fit well on the tracks, and safety is guaranteed. You don’t have to worry about any trains or other vehicles. It’s time to enjoy the ride!

Bird lovers will see a lot of blue herons and osprey. Deer, otters, and turtles are a common sight around rivers. The Glen Blair Junction marks the halfway spot of your tour. Rest your body and stretch your legs. You can have a picnic before walking into the woods. Breathe in, and enjoy.
