Russian Blue Cat Sisters Share Majestic Green Eyes And Silver Fur Coats

No matter if you are a cat owner, or simply adore felines, images of these beautiful creatures fascinate us all.

Yet, if you have ever set your eyes on the stunning, gorgeous breed known as Russian Blue cats, I bet you have immediately fallen in love!

Two so-called “American Type” Russian Blue Cats, Xafi and Auri, are internet famous, mostly due to their captivating green eyes and silvery grey coats.

According to their website:

“We live with our humans in Reading (UK) and share our home with our two humans, Catdad and Mummy. Our little brother Errol joined us in summer 2018. He is a Somali cat that looks a bit like the love child of a fox and a squirrel ;).”

The elegant sisters have their silly side as well and often stick their tongues out either at the camera or each other.

They are sisters by blood, born in 2016, with Xafi being several months older. Yet, it is not easy to tell them apart as they are now the same age.

However, their owners, Tim and Anneken, do not have this problem, since as Tim notes:

“Auri has a rounder face, wider ears, and darker fur. Xafi has a more angular face with slightly taller ears. Their “Meow” is also distinctly different as is the way they both move and act. Auri also looks a lot more muscular and toned even though they are exactly the same weight: 3.5kg.”

Moreover, they are very different in terms of purr-sonality, and their shared Instagram account, which has 129K followers, presents the two siblings as the Affectionate Xafi & Mischievous Auri.

Xafi loves cuddling and sitting on their owners’ laps while working or watching TV, but her sister, the “Klepto-Cat”, enjoys stealing things out of fun and running away.

Also, Auri loves shredding toilet paper and “attacks blankets and cat beds.”
