Joe Whale doodling the walls of a restaurant

Kid In Trouble For Doodling Hired By Local Restaurant To Create Wall Art

Doodling in class got Joe Whale his first job, and the talented kid has attracted the attention of popular artists.

Doodling on papers or walls in elementary school is definitely not a good idea. Kids doodle when they are bored. Truth is, students are often bored, especially when they have to be focused during class. Some teachers don’t tolerate doodling students and kids can get in trouble really easily.

Joe Whale’s teachers didn’t like his doodling in class. But, his parents were determined to support the kid’s talent and even urged him to keep drawing.

The 9-year-old was really talented. His parents sent him to an after-school art class because his talent was too awesome to be ignored. Joe was a real artist and this talent even got him a job.

The owner of “Number 4” restaurant in Shrewsbury, England contacted Joe’s parents and the kid was asked to decorate the dining room in the restaurant. The Doodle Boy became popular all over the world. Today, Joe even has a website and social media pages to share his work.

Joe’s dad, Greg, is really proud of the boy. The kid finished the walls of the dining room in the restaurant in 12 hours.

“Thank you so much to everyone for their support for Joe, it has had a really positive impact on his work,” Greg wrote in one of his posts. “Due to the huge amount of support Joe has his own Instagram page and website. You will find many more of Joe’s doodles so please follow and track his amazing adventure!!!”

“I would advise parents to encourage their children to always follow their passion and dreams — research local workshops or groups within your local community,” the proud dad advised other parents.

Kids really need our support to do what they love in life.

We love his doodling style and it sends us back to childhood.

Do you agree with Joe’s parents? Would you support your kid even if the teacher doesn’t like it? Some parents don’t like the idea of seeing a kid doodle in class while others support the creative boy and his parents.
