Being on a Vogue cover is a dream come true for a lot of people. Judi has just made history, becoming the oldest Vogue cover girl, at the age of 85. The previous woman who was the oldest one to be on this cover was Lauren Hutton, in 2017.
This stunning Oscar winner appeared on the June 2020 issue, wearing a floral Dolce & Gabbana coat. On his Instagram account, the editor-in-chief of Vogue -- Edward Enninful, wrote that he was very pleased to have Judi as a Vogue cover girl.
Judi seems not to like being a 85-year-old, as she said in her interview. She also said she didn’t even want to think of retiring.
Her daughter stated that Judi was very proud of being on this cover: ‘It meant an awful lot to her. This age thing, I think, affects very much how she feels about herself and this gave her just that little boost of confidence to make her go, “Oh, maybe I’m still OK.”
Judi is currently self-isolating, due to Covid-19. She is optimistic and hopes this situation brings a great deal of kindness among people.
