People do not usually make a difference between antiperspirants and deodorants. Antiperspirants completely stop the sweating so the chemicals actually clog your pores. Deodorants, perfumes, and some antiseptic agents, do not stop the sweating, but only remove any unpleasant odors.
“The human body needs to sweat. The use of chemicals to block the natural process is never good. The problem with antiperspirants is that the chemicals clog the sweat glands, and hence block the ability to detoxify the body, which may affect the lymphatic system.
Since all the systems in the body are connected, your blocked lymphatic system may affect the entire immune system.”
Therefore, regular deodorants are a much better choice. Instead of clogging the pores with chemicals, natural deodorants contain mineral salts, oils and herbs to balance the pH value and reduce the bacterial growth.
Many of these deodorants contain herbs considered as natural antiperspirants, such as aloe vera, coriander and lichens.
Most people do not sweat that much, so sweating is not actually a serious problem. But there are people who struggle with this problem, commonly known as hyperhidrosis, and they never talk about it. Hyperhidrosis is actually increased and unnatural sweating.
As hyperhidrosis leaves visible stains on the clothes, people suffering from this disorder are always trying to stay unnoticed. Even antiperspirants can not help people with hyperhidrosis to solve their problem.
One of the ways to deal with perspiration is injecting botox into the affected underarm area. Botox injections can help people who have problems with excessive sweating. Botox injections are different from antiperspirants.
Instead of drying the sweat glands, Botox prevents the muscles around the sweat glands to constrict and thus minimize the amount of sweat that is released from a particular area within six months.
The results of a research conducted in Chicago show the connection between antiperspirants, underarm shaving and cancer.
