Puzzles, optical illusions, quizzes, brainteasers, and math problems seem to be one of the most interesting ways to kill time during the lockdown period due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Therefore, we picked 9 visual tricks that will help you test your vision and critical reasoning ability.
Try to solve them when you are well-rested, and not suffering from a headache or migraine.
Here they are:
1..
You immediately think that line 2 is longer. This is because the lines have been slightly angled to form the illusion of an infinite railroad. Yet, you should carefully observe the inclination of the rails, and you’ll conclude that they have the same length.
2..
At first, these lines do not seem straight. The pink and gray boxes dominate and create the illusion of curved winding lines. Yet, they are perfectly straight. Take your time, and look at both edges of the picture and trace the lines from these points.
3..
One of the nine boxes matrixed together has a lighter shade than the rest of them. The first one.
4..
This one is the same as trick 3, but the colors are even lighter, which makes it harder to determine which one is different from the rest. The answer is the 7th one.
5..
A color-blind person would see the red circles in a dull green shade. Yet, the red, pink, and brown circles form an outline of the number 2. This trick is excellent for diagnosing red-green color blindness, technically termed color vision deficiency.
6..
Can you decipher the outline of the number 8?
7..
Can you spot the number engraved in the background? If you have a refractive error such as astigmatism, you might not be able to see the number 571.
8..
Look closely to find the animal in the center: It’s a dog!
9..
Try to identify the shade of purple highlighted in the red crosshair. The first four are obviously not the answer. Give your best now. Which shade is the best match?- The second one.
In case you found these tricks very hard to decipher, visit an optometrist or ophthalmologist to check your vision.
A study titled ‘The Economic Burden of Vision Loss and Eye Disorders in the United States’ reported that vision problems cost the US government about $139 billion every year.
The risks linked to vision loss elevate with age, and one in six American adults (aged 45 and above) suffer from an eye-related problem.
Ophthalmologist Arun Sethi advises:
“When you’re at work, exercise your neck by nodding your head up and down, thereby increasing blood circulation to your neck and eyes. Also, don’t stare at the sun as it can be detrimental to your vision. Too much UV exposure makes you more prone to cataract and macular degeneration. Also, you should choose sunglasses that block 99% to 100% of both UVA and UVB rays.”
Moreover, to improve your vision, make sure you rest and sleep regularly, stay hydrated, and eat foods rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, lutein, and beta carotene.
Yet, if you have answered all of these correctly, you have an ultra-laser vision!
