Get ready for one heart-melting encounter! Meet Milkshake, a rare pink pug that became an Instagram celebrity. If you like pink, glamour, sparkles, and luxury, you will quickly become his top fan!

This adorable puppy is very rare, one of less than a hundred pink pugs, and he won the hearts of people all around the world. The cuddly pooch was born with blush pink fur, nose, and paws, and magical baby blue eyes!

Here are some important facts you need to know about this attractive little fellow:

1. His amazing appearance is a result of a lack of pigmentation, probably inherited from an albino pug somewhere in his family tree.

2. His owner, Maria, 33, knew he was the one when she spotted him in his litter, and he was only 10 weeks old, and brought him to live with her in Canary Wharf, London.

She explained that “he’s] very rare. At the time, I think Milkshake was one of 30 in the world but there have been a few litters. There’s no more than 100 worldwide.”

3. Maria, a marketing manager,  soon set up an Instagram account for her special puppy, and the world found out about Milkshake! She explained:

“Milkshake is the most famous pink pug on social media. His Instagram started just as a bit fun but straight away he got such a positive response. A lot of people messaged me saying they’d had a bad day and seeing Milkshake really cheered them up which encouraged me to post more. His following just kept getting bigger and bigger. He gets recognized all the time, everywhere we go – not just in London but in different cities too.”

4. Since then, Milkshake has garnered over 93K followers!

5. Maria explained that “he’s not actually albino – he just has the coloring so he doesn’t suffer from any sight loss or hearing loss. He’s a happy healthy boy.”

6. She describes the fabulous pug as friendly, quirky, and happy-go-lucky, but he is also  ‘very spoiled’.

7. Milkshake accompanies Maria wherever she goes, even at work, and every week, she treats him to the spa.

8. At the spa, Milkshake has his nails done, he is then dressed up for photoshoots, and at the end of the day, he receives pieces of chicken for a job well done.

9. The two best friends seem to be a perfect match. Milkshake sleeps on Maria’s head at night, and he is a loud snorer, but she is a heavy sleeper!

10. Milkshake participates in national dog shows and works with a personal trainer to help his future career in advertising and film.

11. Maria explained that the pug loves all the attention he gets, and he regularly receives gifts from his fans. “At Christmas he gets more gifts than I could ever dream of getting.”

12. One of his fans even commented that he became ‘star-struck’ after meeting Milkshake in the flesh and fur!
