A mice infestation is probably one of the worst things that can happen in your home, and if you have experienced it, you already know that its elimination is extremely difficult.
The numerous methods offered to help you, in this case, are far from pleasant, and hiring an exterminator can be really expensive.
Yet, no one wants to live in the same house with mice!
Well, we have some good news- there is a simple and completely natural way to get rid of mice- using peppermint!
Apparently, mice hate its smell, so it is an incredibly effective natural repellent. There are three ways in which you can use it in order to quickly solve this problem:
Peppermint Plants
This is the easiest way to get rid of mice in the home. All you need to do is to distribute peppermint plants throughout the entire house, outside in the garden, and wherever you need to, and they will protect the home and give a pleasant, nice smell.
Peppermint Sock
If you need a fast solution, just place several dried peppermints in a sock, tie it off, and place it somewhere in the home, near a gap, hole, or areas where mice gather.
DIY Spray
This spray is incredibly effective and easy to make. You should boil some water, and then steep some dried peppermint leaves in it. When they get fully concentrated, strain out the grounds, and leave the mixture to cool. Next, just transfer the liquid into a spray bottle, and spray all around the house.
Make sure you spray all the areas where you have noticed mice, in cabinets, corners, closets.
For an enhanced effect, you can use extra concentrated versions of peppermint, such as peppermint oil. Additionally, soak cotton balls in this oil and distribute them around your home.
In this way, you can also repel ants, bees, aphids, flea beetles, cabbage looper, squash bugs, and whiteflies. This is a cheap and natural way to protect your home from these unwanted visitors and deal with the infestation.
