WARNING: If You Eat This For Breakfast It May Really Harm Your Health

Lewis Daly of Brooklyn, New York, filed a lawsuit which stated that Quaker Oats includes a carcinogenic substance known as glyphosate.

This substance in 2015, was found to be potentially dangerous to people. Daly filed a class action in the Federal District Courts of both New York and California, maintaining that the testing of Quaker Oats 1-Minute product showed trace amounts of glyphosate.

The suit demands refunds for the customers and insists that the company stops the use of glyphosate.

The reason for the major dissatisfaction is due to the false advertising, and the fact that the company actually labels this breakfast as 100% natural.

Glyphosate is a well- known pesticide commonly used in the treatment of weeds and is commonly included in products for this cause, such as Ortho and Roundup.

Daly says that the use of the weed killer is not the main offense, but he is enraged by their labels which claim that all ingredients in the products are completely natural.

Quaker Oats is owned by PepsiCo, and the company state that their products are grown, produced, harvested and sold on the market via responsible methods. Moreover, they maintain that all significant levels of herbicide are cleansed through the procedure of cleaning.

In fact, independent testing of Quaker Oat oatmeal found that the Quick 1-Minute product has only 4% of the allowable limit, meaning that the product is below the minimal levels accepted by the EPA.
