While women can express their feelings with words much easier than men, men usually show their affinities through their actions.

Even though these differences can be confusing at times, it is a fact that men and women do not think in the same way, so it sometimes needs a little wisdom to understand the behavior of your loved one.  If your woman loves you, she will say it. Yet, when it comes to men, things are not that simple.

Dr. Brenda Shoshanna, a psychologist, PhD, says that while she was working as a therapist, she found that love can make men feel vulnerable, childlike and unable to do what’s expected of them. However, she points out that men do love, but they just express it in a different way. Every man perceived love in a different way, so a woman needs to be alert to who her man is and what love means to him.

Here are the signs that indicate that he loves you:

-- He is proud of you- If your partner brass about you and is proud of the way you look, behave, and achieve your goals in life, it is another way to say that he loves you.

-- He sticks up for you- Men do not like controversy, but if your significant other defends you, he simply says: “I love you.”

-- He is not afraid to make sacrifices for you- Relationships often requite mutual sacrifice and compromises, so if your man is not afraid to go above and beyond his zone of comfort just to make you happier, he cares about you.

-- He shows his vulnerability- if your loved one is smitten, he will become comfortable to show his feelings and thoughts after some time, and will eventually let his guard down.

-- He loves how you look even on your “worst days”- When a man loves a woman, he finds her beautiful even when she spends the day in her pajamas, with zero makeup, and a bad hair.

-- He respects your family and friends- When a man loves a woman, he treats her loved ones with respect. He simply cares about you and everything and everyone that makes you happy.

-- He listens to you- Men are worse listeners than women, so if your man pays attention to all you tell him and responds, he loves you.

Therefore, it seems that you should pay attention to all of the little things he does for you in order to realize his feelings. He might not be that open to constantly express his affection and love, but very often, actions speak louder than words.

If your man displays these signs, make sure you remain by his side.

Dr. Shoshanna also claims that it would be of great help to keep a little journal of the relationship, to prevent many acts and expressions of love to go unnoticed and unfelt due to being busy to take note or say “thank you”.

She says that it would be useful to write things down, make a list of all things that your partner says and does for you, like phone calls, kind words, a surprise visit, etc. In this way, she says that one will be amazed by all the things the partner does for him, and it will also help to find new ways to give back to him.
