20 Pictures That Scream Why Nature Is Tired of People

Each artistic expression in any medium is an attempt to bring the ‘audience’ to a different perspective of viewing life through the vehicle of the subject at hand.

Artists express both intellectual and emotional concepts that are often restricted by the spoken or written word by moving us into ‘another’ world. Through art, artists try to illuminate a different way of ‘seeing’, and thus opening up new vistas of understanding.

Art about the environment started gaining popularity about five decades ago, and nowadays, it is still one of the most potent ways to reach people.

We are all aware of the fact that it’s better to see something once rather than to hear it 100 times.

When we see the cruel truth with our own eyes, we become aware of the damage we have caused and learn more about climate change, water pollution, and deforestation.

A recent United Nations-backed report highlighted the scale of destruction humans are inflicting on the natural world. To reverse these trends, we must transform our economic models and food system, treat the oceans better, and think carefully about the best ways to tackle climate change.

The following images will help you understand why it’s so important to stop the sufferings we have caused to our planet:

1. Fashion victims

2. There is a risk that the next generation will swim in such water.

3. Human plants destroy natural plants.

4. “Waste doesn’t pick up itself.”

Scientists suggest the plastic layers could be used to mark the start of the Anthropocene, the proposed geological epoch in which human activities have come to dominate the planet. They say after the bronze and iron ages, the current period may become known as the plastic age. The study, the first detailed analysis of the rise in plastic pollution in sediments, examined annual layers off the coast of California back to 1834. They discovered the plastic in the layers mirrors precisely the exponential rise in plastic production over the past 70 years.🥤🍼….. #plasticage #endplasticpollution #plasticfree #plasticfreeliving #ironage #stoneage #environment #environmentalist #zerowasteliving #zerowastelife #karikatūra #karikatūras #gatissluka #microplastics #plasticpollution #environmentallyfriendly

Abundant levels of microplastic pollution have been found in snow from the Arctic to the Alps, according to a study that has prompted scientists to warn of significant contamination of the atmosphere and demand urgent research into the potential health impacts on people. Plastic and traces of hazardous chemicals have been found also in Antarctica. . . #microplastics #microplastic #plasticfree #plastic #arctic #antarctica #iceberg #savetheworld #plasticocean #plasticoceans #zerowaste #zerowasteliving #environmentallyfriendly #karikatūra #karikatūras #plasticpollution

Today is World Oceans Day. Let’s keep trying to minimize the plastic waste that ends up in the waters. I’ve tried to stop using plastic disposable straws very much this year. I need to buy a reusable one to carry in my purse so I have it when I’m out to eat. What are each of you doing to try and help? . . . #illustrator #illustration #instaillustrator #instaillustration #worldoceansday #worldoceansday2019 #minimizeplasticwaste #jellyfish #recycle #kidlitart #kidlitartist #plasticbag #oceanlife #oceanpolution #savetheoceans #art #artoninstagram #childrensbookillustrator #childrensillustrator #cleantheocean #nature #best_of_illustrations #childrensillustrators #picturebooks #plasticwasteintheocean #cleantheenvironment

Progress shot of Plastic Permit. 80-90% complete. Oil on canvas 24″ x 24″. Whether it’s wading the rivers or flats, trash is part of the journey. I’ve been guilty of plastic pollution for years…not littering but the convenience of its use. I’ve literally discarded thousands of water bottles, utensils, food and product packaging, etc. The list is endless…oh, and piles upon piles of grocery bags. I wish I could tell you I’ve stopped and done my part but I haven’t. I’m making a conscious effort to do small things but it seems like an impossible task until industry does their part. Until then, I’ll keep trying. As I painted this and tried to visualize how the bag might lay, there were times I almost felt like I was suffocating with the fish. If nothing else, maybe this painting will make someone think about the issue as well. . . . . . . . . . . . . #plasticpollutes #plasticpollution #refusesingleuse #permit #tarpon #bonefish #flyfishing #seewhatsoutthere #experienceoutdoors #captainsforcleanwater #bonefishtarpontrust #conservation #oiloncanvas
